When Molly Bartrip scored 1-0 away to Brighton, it wasn't just the fastest goal of the season in Super League football.

It was also the start of a very busy afternoon for the Swedish national team players Julia Zigiotti Olme and Emma Kullberg, whose Brighton had already had a tough start to the season.

Tottenham scored four goals in each half and when substitute Jessica Naz scored her second goal of the game – one of three two-goalers on the day – the humiliation was complete, with the final score settled at 8–0 to the visitors.

Brighton have started the season with one win and four losses, -17 in goal difference, and are now slipping down to second last place in the table.

At the top, a more enjoyable Swedish day

Stina Blackstenius scored her third goal as her Arsenal picked up their fifth straight win in the season opener after beating West Ham 3–1.

Arsenal overturned a 0–1 deficit and Blackstenius slotted home a free kick to make it 2–1 in the 53rd minute.

Leaders Manchester United, second-placed Arsenal and third-placed Chelsea all have 15 points, but reigning champions Chelsea have a game more played.
