The bodybuilder and physicist Abdullah Al-Esayi presented himself as the first citizen and Arab player to participate in the championships of the fittest in bodybuilding, and to overcome a group of international players despite being a person of determination (amputation of limbs), in an unusual phenomenon globally.

Alesayi was finally able to win silver and bronze medals in the Asian and Asian Open Championships for bodybuilding and physics that were held in Kyrgyzstan last September, revealing his ambition to win the world bodybuilding championship next year, and to obtain the Cup of Champions.

Al-Esayi told "Emirates Today": "My message to all athletes, including people of determination, is that persistence and determination make achievement, no matter how difficult it is."

He revealed his ambition to win one of the categories of the Mohammed bin Rashid Award for Sports Creativity.

He continued, "My goal is to win the world bodybuilding championship in my weight by competing with the normal ones, and I realize that this task is difficult, but I will prepare well for it after taking a break until the end of this year, so that I will not participate in any championships in the remaining season in preparation for better preparations and bigger championships." In 2023, my goal on that day will be to win every tournament I participate in, and I will prepare for that as I should.”

He added, "I am happy that I became the first bodybuilder of determination to win a medal at the Asian level, which enhances my challenge and determination to create achievement."

And about the secret of his choice of bodybuilding sport, even though it requires muscular and physical efforts that are not commensurate with the fact that he is a person of determination, he denied that his sport is difficult and arduous, stressing that he used to practice it before he was subjected to leg amputation and continued to practice it because he loves it and looks forward to excel in it.

He continued, "The sport of bodybuilding requires great physical and muscular effort, and despite that, I do not suffer from severe fatigue due to amputation, because I have experience training in this sport and others."

Regarding his recent participation in the Asian Championship, he said: "The competition was intense and I participated in the face of distinguished players, but I had high confidence in myself and managed to win, and the achievement can be described as a second start for me in the sport of bodybuilding."

It is reported that Alesayi had a traffic accident in 2020 that caused the amputation of his left leg, but he nevertheless continued to practice his sport according to the new conditions after his recovery, to form a great model for an athlete who defies obstacles.

• Won silver and bronze in the Asian Championships and the "Asia Open" for normal bodybuilding.

• He decided not to participate in any tournament until the end of this year, in preparation for competing strongly in 2023.
