Zamalek coach raises controversy in front of the media because of Karim Fouad's goal

The Portuguese coach of Zamalek, Josevaldo Ferreira, raised everyone's astonishment during the press conference held after the Super match, when he said that Al-Ahly's second goal against his team does not count.

Al-Ahly won the Egyptian Super Cup for the 12th time in its history, Friday, after beating its traditional rival, Zamalek, at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain, with two goals without a response.

But Ferreira then returned and explained this statement by saying: "The goal came as a result of his players rushing forward to compensate for Al-Ahly's goal, and there were only two players present in the back lines."

He added: "We were not clear in our way of playing and we made some mistakes, we got an early warning, so between the two halves we changed our way of playing, but sometimes things don't go the way they want."

He continued, "There will be a meeting with the player after returning to Cairo to find out the reasons for receiving yellow cards in the matches."

Al-Wardi had received a yellow card in the first half of the Ceramica match in the Egyptian League, which forced the coach to replace him between the two halves of the match, for fear of receiving the second yellow card.

"I am not sad about the loss, as it is our first since last April, in the end we are champions." The league and the cup, which means that we were playing ourselves, we lost a game and we have to rethink again to win the next matches.”

The Portuguese coach refused to talk about the new deals and their role in achieving the required addition to the team, saying: “I am not talking about my players in closed rooms, What I can say about the match is that we conceded the first goal, so we wanted to change to increase the attacking ability in the team, and this is when we see an imbalance, but I see that we were better in the second half, we moved forward and got some chances.”
