Saudi Arabia meets Honduras on Sunday in Abu Dhabi

The Saudi national football team will play a friendly match against Honduras on Sunday at Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi, as part of the third phase of its preparation program for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Al-Akhdar is holding a preparatory camp in the UAE capital in preparation for the World Cup, which begins on November 20, during which it played two friendlies, winning the first against North Macedonia 1-0 and drawing in the second with Albania 1-1.

The French coach, Herve Renard, seeks to give the players the full opportunity to determine their levels and find the appropriate combination that will be relied upon in the official matches.

Renard had included most of the players in the previous two matches, with two formations, the first for sixty minutes and the second in the last half hour.

With the return of most of the injured players, the ranks of Al-Akhdar are almost complete, missing only Sultan Al-Ghannam and Nasser Al-Dosari, as they continue their program at Aspetar Hospital in Qatar and Yasser Al-Shahrani in Riyadh, and they are expected to be fully prepared in the coming days.

Saudi Arabia, which will compete in the finals for the sixth time in its history, is in Group C along with Argentina, Mexico and Poland.

In her first participation in 1994, she achieved the best result by reaching the round of 16.
