Albin Elowson (Skövde) was not in the lead during the first part of the race, but after refueling on lap three the recovery began and on lap four Elowson was up on the back of leading Mikael Persson.
After that there was no talk of the matter.
Elowson made a move that Persson, World Championship silver medalist in enduro, could not respond to.
- He is extremely strong in the track right now, stated commentator Johan Ejeborg.
Albin Elowson finished in a time of 3.11.04 with a margin down to defending champion Mikael Persson in a full 1 minute and 25 seconds.
Second place meant that Persson's streak of two consecutive GGN victories was broken.
