Al-Ahly stars succeeded in restoring the confidence of their fans after losing the Egyptian League and Cup titles last season, to get a boost of confidence and high morale at the beginning of the season. Al-Ahly has the advantage in most of its matches with Zamalek.


Al-Ahly also continued to set records at the expense of its traditional rival, by winning it in six meetings that brought them together in the Super, compared to only twice.


What is remarkable in the super match between Al-Ahly and Zamalek, is the state of love that Al-Ahly associated with Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, as Al-Ahly did not know the taste of loss in five meetings he played on this stadium, which became a witness to the victories of the Egyptian and African champions.


Al-Ahly scored three championships at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, which imprinted on the first championship, “Ahlia” in 2015, when it was crowned the local Super Cup, which was held for the first time outside Egypt, at the expense of Zamalek with a score of 3-2, and in 2017, the same stadium witnessed the coronation Al-Ahly also won the Super Cup, but this time it was at the expense of Al-Masry Al-Portsaidi after winning it 1-0. On Friday, Al-Ahly returned to the same stadium to achieve the third title of the Super at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium after dropping the traditional rival Zamalek with two goals without a response.
