Wang Fa, 14, is from Cangyuan Wa Autonomous County, Lincang City, Yunnan Province.

Six years ago, Zhang Xiaohong, the coach of Langfang Yexiang Tennis Club, went to Cangyuan to select tennis seedlings.

Wang Fa was selected to join the club due to his excellent endurance and explosiveness.

In this way, Wang Fa and his friends walked out of the mountain, and with the efforts of 7,000 swings a day, started the story of children in the mountains struggling to chase their dreams on the sports field.

"I like tennis, so I don't feel tired." After joining the training team, Wang Fa practiced hard.

He gets up at 6:30 every day, and performs serving and swing training from 7:00 to 11:00. In the afternoon, he also has more than two hours of physical training.

Training tennis is the most expensive shoes, especially for boys.

Wang Fa clearly remembers that he has worn out 54 pairs of shoes since he played at the age of 8, and he has to replace them with a new pair of shoes in an average of more than a month.

"Tennis has changed my life." For Wang Fa, tennis is not only a sport, but also an opportunity to see the wider world and have more possibilities in life.

"Wang Fa and these children are very sensible. Their shoes have to be worn until they have holes or openings. If they can't wear them, they will ask me to change new shoes." Coach Zhang Xiaohong said that before, they paid for the players themselves. They buy sneakers.

In 2020, the club relocated to Langfang, Hebei, and the number of courts increased to 12. The daily expenses and training expenses of the players were all borne by the Langfang Tennis Association.

In the Wild Elephant Tennis Club, as long as the players do not practice seriously, Zhang Xiaohong will be punished by suspension of training.

"I'm not afraid to endure hardship, but I'm afraid to stop training." Wang Fa said that he was suspended from training for two days in the past six years. "After the training was suspended, I felt very sad and cherished every opportunity to play."

After returning from the Guangzhou match, Wang Fa threw himself into training, eager to break into the door of professional tennis.

"All I have to do is focus and focus, and do my best to play every game that follows."

At the age of fun, Wang Fa didn't seem to have any hobbies. When he was free, he would write a diary.

"I will write the gains and losses of daily training in a diary as a daily summary, so that I can improve little by little."

Today, there are more than 20 Dashan children who learn tennis at the Wild Elephant Tennis Club.

The club plans to recruit rural children from Yunnan, Tibet, Xinjiang and other places to practice tennis every year, providing a stage for these children to fight hard.

At the end of September this year, Wang Fa's six-year-old brother Wang Yi also entered the training team after a test and selection process.

For the future, Wang Fa has set a clear goal for himself: in the future, he will bring his younger brother to play professional games together, walk into the international arena with a backpack on his back, and win glory for the country.
