The Qatari national team announces its participation in the 2023 Gold Cup
The Qatar Football Association officially announced on Friday the country’s participation in the 2023 Gold Cup organized by CONCACAF (North and Central America and the Caribbean), which will be held in the United States of America from June 16 to July 16.
The Qatar Football Association published a tweet on its Twitter account, saying: "Our national team is participating in the CONCACAF Gold Cup for the second time in a row in America."
The Qatari team participated in the previous edition of the Gold Cup in the United States also last year, reaching the semi-finals before losing to the host team 0-1.
At the time, participation was part of Qatar's preparations to host the 2022 World Cup, which also included participating in the Copa America in Brazil in 2019, and the European qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup.
