F1 Fernando Alonso, last victim of the inconsistencies and errors of the FIA
USA The stewards frustrate the "best race" of Fernando Alonso, out of the points after 30 seconds of penalty
The
FIA
has admitted the appeal imposed by
Alpine
and has given Fernando Alonso back the seventh position and the seven points he lost after being penalized after the United States Grand Prix.
The events occurred last weekend, when the stewards imposed a 30-second penalty for not complying with the safety conditions, when disputing the last section of the
United States GP
without his right rear-view mirror.
In this way, the Spaniard, who had crossed the finish line in seventh position after a great comeback, was left without points.
Alpine filed an appeal but the FIA initially rejected it on the grounds that it had arrived eight minutes late.
Later, in a second meeting, they have accepted the appeal imposed by the Asturian team, a decision that they have already celebrated on their Twitter account.
"The BWT Alpine F1 Team is grateful to the FIA stewards for meeting and reaching a positive conclusion on the matter of car #14 at last weekend's United States Grand Prix."
