The National Police have arrested a man at the border of La Junquera (Girona) as

the alleged perpetrator of the robbery committed on January 23 at the home of Real Madrid's French striker Karim Benzema

According to a statement made public this Friday by the Police, the man was located at dawn on Thursday when he was about to cross the Spanish border with France through La Junquera, where he was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a robbery with force and, after going to court order, he was sent to prison.

The alleged perpetrator of the robbery weighed an arrest warrant issued by the court of instruction number 2 of Alcobendas (Madrid).

The investigation began on January 23 when the agents learned of a robbery with force that occurred in the player's home, while he was playing a soccer match at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.
