Reactions were quick to hear the news on Thursday.

The mayor LR of Moulins, Pierre-André Périssol, thus evoked “a pride for our territory”.

He was delighted to see the Tour de France give visibility to the City and the Department throughout the world.

Claude Riboulet, president of the Departmental Council, for his part insisted on the evidence of the reception of the eleventh stage of the 2023 edition of the cycling race.

“It had been too long since the Tour de France had passed through the Department.

[…] The Tour de France is a culture in the Bourbonnais”, he commented.

The chosen one was delighted to see the stage pass through Moulins and Montluçon and hopes, thereafter, that Vichy will also be a stage town of the famous competition in a future edition.
