AIK Bandy's finances are rocking.

The club has had problems with salary payments and is in debt with the Kronofogden.

The association has this season to sort out the negative surplus and, because of this, has been forced to get rid of heavy names such as Erik Pettersson, Andreas Bergwall and Daniel Mossberg while negotiating, and lowering, many of the remaining players' salaries .

In other words, the conditions for tonight's elite series premiere at home against Sandviken were not the best and it could get worse.

After 35 minutes played, the score was 4–0 to the visitors, after a Mossberg goal, and they looked to be heading for a convincing victory.

But AIK wanted differently and despite another Sandviken goal, they had enough morale to reduce three times again and make it a match.

However, they never came closer than that, even though they created plenty of scoring chances in the second half.

However, the effectiveness was not at its peak and instead of another reduction, they were forced to watch as Hannes Edlund put the nail in the coffin in the 83rd minute with his 6-3 goal.
