The union captain's quartet Irene Otamiri, David Visscher, Kevin Taylor Lundgren and Robin Sandbergs are looking forward to the meeting on November 24 in Uppsala.

Like sports manager Lasse Johansson.

"Oh, how we have longed.

Home ground again and we get the chance to take on Israel with a partially new team and a completely new coaching staff compared to the last time we faced them.

We are very much looking forward to the match and are aware of its importance in achieving the goal of European Championship 2023," says Johansson in a press release.

Several key players are back in the squad, such as Regan Magarity and Nathalie Fontaine.

Farhiya Abdi made his first caps this summer against Iceland and Finland, having not featured since the Olympic qualifiers in February 2020.

Amanda Zahui is also back in the women's national team.

In August, she took part in the women's national team's training camp, and the qualifying match in Fyrishov will be her first international match since the Olympic qualification.

Of the 16 players called up, twelve will play against Israel.
