The 2022 Qatar World Cup has entered the countdown. In addition to the highly anticipated game, the Chinese elements are also very eye-catching.

The Lusail Stadium, the main stadium of the World Cup, is located about 15 kilometers north of Doha, the capital of Qatar, and its exterior is inspired by date palm bowls and enamel lanterns.

The venue has a construction area of 190,000 square meters and can accommodate more than 92,000 spectators.

This is also the first World Cup stadium presented by a Chinese enterprise as the main contractor, and it is also the largest professional stadium built by a Chinese enterprise overseas with the largest number of people.

In addition, China has also participated in the construction of drinking water pools in Qatar.

In order to enhance the storage and supply capacity of drinking water and provide clean water for the 2022 World Cup, Qatar has built 15 of the world's largest drinking water ponds in the desert.

The project integrates seawater desalination, water storage, water delivery, water distribution and other projects. It was officially launched in April 2015 and requires the construction of 15 super-large reservoirs in 5 locations across the country, each 300 meters long. With a width of 150 meters and a height of 12 meters, it is approximately equivalent to the area of 9 football fields, with a single capacity of 500,000 cubic meters. It has been certified by the Guinness World Records as the world's largest drinking water pool.
