She has not been given excessive playing time at Arsenal since the move from Juventus, but in Thursday night's Champions League meeting with Zurich, Lina Hurtig got the chance in the starting eleven.

And it would turn out to be a stroke of genius on the part of Swedish coach Jonas Eidevall.

Hurtig stood for a really fine effort which she crowned with two goals, her first two in the Arsenal shirt.

First she headed in the 2-0 goal at the end of the first half and then she stayed in front and poked home a rebound in the 79th minute after Zurich goalkeeper Lourdes Romero made a sharp save from Stina Blackstenius' finish.

The goal meant 3–1 to Arsenal and that was also the final result.
