In September, Röiseland was diagnosed with shingles after a difficult summer.

- It has been difficult.

I've been fine for a long time from the shingles, but my body hasn't been working.

I have been tired and had a headache and had after-effects from shingles, says Röiseland to NRK.

The blood tests have recently shown good values.

Nevertheless, Röiseland has not felt energetic.

- Although I had a very careful escalation plan last time, I may have started a little too hard.

That meant I had to start all over again.

Right now I don't have time to start over, if I have any hope of fighting for a medal at the World Championships in Oberstdorf, she says.

The World Cup starts in Kontiolax at the end of November.

Two weeks before that, it is the Norwegian season opening at Sjusjöen.

Most likely without Röiseland.

She still trains sparingly and with low intensity.

- I don't think I have anything to show at all.

When you go to competitions, you go max.

I'm nowhere near that, she says.

Röiseland won the overall World Cup last season after, among other things, five individual victories.

At the Olympics in Zhangjiakou, she won three golds and two bronzes.
