Frida Karlsson, Maja Dahlqvist and Linn Svahn chose before the season to leave the Swedish national ski team to instead make their own venture.

In an interview with Viaplay, the stars talked about the relationship with management.

They state that there is no communication regarding their investments.

- Nothing, all answered.

"Convinced we want to reach the same goal"

But yesterday the trio met national team manager Anders Byström in Idre, a meeting that was booked before the interview was published.

- It was good, it's always good to talk together, says Linn Svahn to SVT Sport.

Does it feel calm between you before the coming season?

- Yes, I am completely convinced that when we get to the start of the season, everyone will want to pull towards the same goal, and that is to succeed on the ski track.

That's how it's always been and that's how it will be this year too.

Linn Svahn announced earlier this week that she will not start in the Swedish premiere in Bruksvallarna November 18-20.

Nor is the winter's first World Cup competition in Ruka the following weekend relevant.

Sometime in December, Svahn, who has not competed since April 2021 due to a shoulder injury, hopes to be on the starting line again.

Have to wait for chance in VC

But before she can get the chance in the World Cup, the national team management wants to see what level the 22-year-old is at.

- She will probably have to go to a competition nationally first before she is selected for the World Cup, Byström told SVT Sport yesterday, and during the meeting in Idre he discussed this very thing with Svahn.

- It still feels safe.

I don't want to just jump into the World Cup without having done any competition, that's the way it is.

It's a reasonable plan, then we'll see what race it will be.

I will compete before I come out to the World Cup so that I can maintain that level.

Then you usually get better when you have run through the system a few times as well, like that in a competitive way.

Parts of the Swedish World Cup squad will be withdrawn after the World Cup in Davos on December 17-18, but Svahn feels no pressure to perform before then.

- No, that is not the most important thing.

The most important thing is that I get to the WC and perform there.

Then a squad will be taken out later as well.

It is understandable that some are taken out after two classic sprints that are important.

But I want to go fast enough that I deserve a place no matter what time I get that place.
