A knee injury has bothered Jamina Roberts during the start of the season and the Swedish star has been forced to play with a guard.

- I have a stretched posterior cruciate ligament.

It sounds worse than it is, but I need to take it into account, Roberts told SVT Sport at the last national team meeting at the end of September.

Ahead of the last two EC games against the Czech Republic, which are broadcast on SVT, the cover has finally been removed.

- I got rid of the protection during the last collection, which I replaced with tape.

But yesterday I drove without tape, so I would say it's pretty good, she says.

Axnér: "Felt like a camel with the knee pads"

The EC kicks off on November 4, and if Sweden advances from the group stage, six matches await in less than two weeks.

Can the knee hold you back in the championship?

- Hopefully not.

But then it's clear that I haven't tested at this load for a year and certainly not with this knee.

But I don't think there should be any problems.

Confederation captain Tomas Axnér doesn't feel any worries either.

- Jamina is not a whiner and never complains.

She said she felt like a camel with the knee pad on, so it's a good thing she's out of it I guess.

I'm not worried.

I think our medical team has a good handle on it and we have good opportunities to vary that position during an EC.

Sweden meets the Czech Republic on Friday and Sunday before going to the EC on 2/11.

Both matches are broadcast on SVT.
