A shot of Mohamed Salah and Bernardo Silva cost Klopp 34,000 dollars

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp was fined 30,000 pounds ($34,000), but escaped suspension after a red card he received during his team's 1-0 win over Manchester City earlier this October in the Premier League, according to the local federation. Football Thursday.

Referee Anthony Taylor Klopp was sent off the field after the German protested the decision not to foul Portuguese Bernardo Silva in favor of Egyptian Mohamed Salah.

Klopp later admitted, "The red card was my fault. I went over my limit in that moment... When I look at the moment now, I think it deserved the red card."

Klopp was found guilty of inappropriate conduct by an independent panel and fined 30,000 pounds ($34,000).

However, the FA can appeal the decision once it has received written reasons from the committee.

"The coach admitted that his behavior during the 86th minute was inappropriate, and an independent committee imposed a sanction during a hearing. This sanction is subject to appeal by Jurgen Klopp or the Football Association after receiving the written reasons from the independent commission," a statement read.
