31-year-old forward Jesper Bratt, from Stockholm, is in great form.

He has been putting up points in the NHL over the past year - and has certainly made for a strong start to the season.

Last night Bratt accounted for three new points.

Two goals and an assist as his New Jersey beat Detroit 6–2.

The Swede chooses to focus on the team's effort afterwards.

- It is good for the whole group and our confidence.

Every game we get around 40 shots and it's nice to see many guys on the scoresheet, says Bratt to TSN.

He has now accounted for 12 points (3+9) in the first seven games.

That takes him to the top of the NHL's scoring leaderboard, where Artemi Panarin is also with 12 points.
