Less than a week before the start of the Paris-Bercy Masters 1000, which will be held from October 31 to November 6 at the Accor Hotel Arena, the organizers have revealed the names of the players invited to participate.

Four French are among the lucky ones, including Gilles Simon who will play the last tournament of his career there. 

It is now official, the wild cards of the Paris-Bercy Masters 1000, tennis tournament to be held from October 31 to November 6, have been awarded to Frenchmen Gilles Simon, Richard Gasquet, Adrian Mannarino and Arthur Rinderknech, announced organizers on Wednesday.

French number 1 Gael Monfils (41st in the world), who has not played since August due to injury and became a father for the first time this month, has not yet announced his whether or not he participated in this last Masters 1000 of the season.

The other French were not ranked well enough to go directly to the final draw (Mannarino 42nd, Rinderknech 51st, Gasquet 74th, Simon 195th).

Farewell to Gilles Simon

Gilles Simon will play his last tournament on the big circuit in Paris before retiring at the age of 37. 

Author of a magnificent career that will have taken him to 6th place in the world, he will say goodbye in front of the Parisian public.

The Austrian Dominik Thiem (113th), former winner of the US Open (2020) who is trying to regain his best level after falling beyond 350th place, also obtained an invitation, but to play the qualifications, like the French Hugo Gaston, Quentin Halys and Ugo Humbert.
