The subject of the investigations, which are at the very beginning, are events at the car leasing company "MaKro GmbH & Co. KG" between 2016 and 2020. During this time, Krösche was the managing director of his own company.

The allegation against Krösche and other suspects is said to be about a so-called reduction in sales tax.

According to the current status, it should be an amount in the mid-six-digit range.

Krösche is not allowed to comment on the matter.

The 42-year-old, who is cooperating with the authorities, is said to have been surprised.

Krösche is said not to have enriched himself personally.

If anything, it could be a case of omission rather than a willful offence.

Eintracht Frankfurt does not comment on the matter.

According to information from the FAZ, the investigations have no internal consequences at Eintracht Frankfurt.

Krösche was under contract as a professional at SC Paderborn until 2014.

In 2017 he returned to what is now the second division club as sporting director before joining RB Leipzig as sporting director in 2019.

Krösche has been sports director at Eintracht since 2021.
