29-year-old Dominic Thiem is still struggling with form after his injury problems.

Now, however, the Austrian seems to be on the move.

On Tuesday evening, he broke the American Tommy Paul in a dramatic match.

Thiem saved two match points and finally won the third set in front of a wild home crowd in Vienna (2–6, 7–6, 7–6).

- A great victory, says Thiem afterwards.

The former world number three, now ranked 113, continues:

- It is always special in this arena.

I guess this is what you call home field advantage.

The crowd was incredible.
