Algeria faces Sweden in Malmo after France refused to host the match

The Algerian Football Federation announced today that the Algerian national football team will face Sweden in a friendly on November 19th in Malmö.

The match was moved to the Swedish city, after it could not be held in the cities of Marseille and Le Havre, France, due to the refusal of the security authorities there.

The Algerian national team had faced its Swedish counterpart in four matches before, but it did not know the taste of victory after drawing once and losing three times.

Sweden's match will be Algeria's second in the upcoming international break.

The first friendly will be against South Africa, on the 16th of next month, in Constantine, Algeria.

Algeria failed to qualify for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, after losing to Cameroon in the last round of qualifying.
