It has been a tug of war between Djurgården and AIK to get the talent Omar Faraj's signature.

He has been a strong contributing factor to Degerfors turning their season around and getting over the qualifying stage in the Allsvenskan.

He has so far accounted for three goals in the series.

- I feel an incredible joy to be back at the club.

Playing for AIK in front of a packed Friends Arena is something I have dreamed of since I was a child, says Faraj to the club's website.

He has previously played junior football in AIK.

The contract runs until December 2026.

- It is with great pleasure that I welcome Omar home to AIK again.

We believe that Omar's strengths in his target game and the desire to go deep together with his power will come in handy with us, says the club's sporting director Henrik Jurelius.
