Just like for the players, it was special for coach Renée Slegers to win SM gold without being on a football pitch.

She followed tonight's decider between Linköping and Kalmar from home.

- During the match and before I hadn't felt anything at all, but then suddenly when the final whistle sounded there was joy: "We have won a SM gold!"

But you sit here alone in an apartment when you really want to share it with everyone else, she says.

Why are you Swedish champions in 2022?

- There are so many parts.

It's not just player form or top quality or style of play.

There is so much else that has to work during a season.

We have had challenges with player substitutions which we have handled in the best way.

She thinks above all of Caroline Seger, the team captain, who hasn't played since mid-August after an operation on her hamstring.

Especially that it was Linköping

For Slegers, it was special that it was Linköping, where she herself has played and won SM gold, that stood between Rosengård and the gold tonight.

Had LFC won against Kalmar, Rosengård's gold celebrations would have been postponed.

Instead, Linköping played 2-2 against Kalmar.

- It is clear that I know Linköping because I have played there for four years.

I know many people in the club who are still there.

I have a lot of respect for the football they have played, they have been really good this year.

So of course a bit double, but now I'm here in Rosengård, of course I'm happy.
