This is announced today by the Athletics Integrity Unit, AIU.

“Following the AIU investigation based on LIMS (lab data management software) data, Russian athlete Natalia Antyukh has been suspended for using a Prohibited Substance/Method.

Her results between 15 July 2012 and 29 June 2013 are deleted, AIU writes in a press release.

To summarize the drawn-out process, Antuyk's results from July 2012 onwards are now deleted because the anti-doping organization Wada has already suspended her.

Suspended until 2025

In April last year, she lost an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport CAS and was banned for four years, a ban that runs until 2025.

According to Athletics Illustrated, the 41-year-old hurdler wanted to use the court for financial reasons.

Few believe that she, as a 40-plus-year-old, wants to make a comeback at the elite level.

As a result of the doping, Wada disqualified her from all results from July 2012 onwards, which would mean that all prize money would be refunded.

In addition, medals and awards were to be returned.

Antyukh was caught in connection with Wada's McLaren report released in 2016, which is the basis for Russian track and field athletes still being banned from international sport.

The gold now goes to the American Lashinda Demus.
