The forward, who most recently came from Visp in the Swiss second division, has been rumored to be on his way into Swedish ice hockey for a while as he moved back to Sweden for family reasons.

Now it is clear that he will play in Djurgården starting this season.

"We are really happy to have finished and this feels great fun," says Djurgården's sporting director KG Stoppel to the club's website.

Klasen joins the team on Friday and the idea is that he will be ready to play by the weekend.

The last time Linus Klasen played in Sweden was the 2020/2021 season, then with Luleå in the SHL.

In addition, he has played in Switzerland eight of the last nine seasons.
