More passion, more playfulness, more efficiency – Borussia Dortmund has shot the frustration of the past few weeks out of its soul and appeased the recently growing crowd of critics for the time being.

Led by the outstanding Jude Bellingham, coach Edin Terzic's team achieved the hoped-for sense of achievement in a 5-0 (3-0) win over VfB Stuttgart after the last three Bundesliga games with just one point.

In front of 81,365 spectators in the sold-out Signal Iduna Park, Bellingham (2nd/53rd), Niklas Süle (13th), Giovanni Reyna (44th) and Youssoufa Moukoko (72nd) ensured the Revierklub's resounding victory on Saturday, which was a successful one Dress rehearsal for Tuesday's Champions League game against Manchester City.

For the Swabians, who had recently managed clear victories under interim coach Michael Wimmer against Bochum (4:1) and in the cup against Bielefeld (6:0), the recent flight came to an end with a crash.

Dortmund with passion and playfulness

Even without the battered offensive forces Marco Reus and Donyell Malen, Borussia tried to liven up the recently dull offensive game.

The good intentions were rewarded early, because after two minutes the Terzic team was ahead.

A pass from the national player Süle, who had been transferred to the right-back position, was sent into the net by Bellingham, who was criminally free, with a low shot from 14 meters.

All of a sudden, Dortmund seemed like they had changed.

With more passion in the duels and more wit than last, they put VfB under pressure.

Even a chance for Stuttgart through Tiago Tomás, where BVB goalkeeper Gregor Kobel was there just seven minutes after the 1-0, couldn't stop Dortmund's enthusiasm.

Another difference compared to the past few weeks: BVB's high level of efficiency.

The second chance was also used coldly when Süle scored a volley after a free kick by Raphael Guerreiro to make it 2-0.

Because the Swabians continued to strive for offensive actions, the spectators got to see an entertaining and by no means one-sided game.

But despite all the resistance, VfB didn't create any real scoring chances until the break.

Instead, the host struck again.

After a pass from Moukoko, Reyna flicked the ball into the far corner to make it 3-0 just before half-time.

Despite the clear deficit, the guests still didn't give up.

However, Serhou Guirassy's great chance of scoring a minute after the restart was missed.

On the other hand, Borussia once again demonstrated final strength.

The outstanding Bellingham shook off his opponents with playful ease and skillfully hit the right corner from 14 meters.

With the feeling of certain victory, BVB continued to combine to their heart's content.

Center forward Moukoko also scored a goal.

The young star pushed Guerreiro's cross pass over the line from close range.

The supposed Stuttgart connection by Luca Pfeiffer shortly before the end did not count because of an offside position.
