Disturbing news for Real Madrid fans before the Seville match

The best French player in the world, Karim Benzema, will miss Real Madrid's match with Seville, Saturday, in the Spanish Football League, due to a thigh injury, according to his club.

The striker, who won the Ballon d'Or award on Monday, scored against Elche on Wednesday, contributing to keeping his team at the top of the league standings, but he will not be ready to receive Sevilla at the Santiago Bernabeu.

"After the tests that Benzema performed today, the tests showed that he suffered from muscle fatigue in the left thigh," Real Madrid, the European and Spanish champions, wrote in a statement.

Benzema, who missed most of the September matches due to a tear in his right thigh muscles, had scored 5 goals in seven league matches this season.
