San Diego's Ha-seong Kim was included in the three finalists in the Gold Glove Shortstop category given to the best defender.

The first Asian infielder to win, is it possible?

<Reporter> Kim Ha-

seong was named in the National League shortstop section of the Gold Glove final list along with Atlanta's Swanson and Miami's Roxas.

Japanese star Ichiro has won the Outfielder Gold Glove 10 times, but in the infielder category, where natural athleticism is important, no Asian player has yet been awarded.

The winner is determined by adding up 25% of objective indicators and 75% of coaching staff votes. Because the vote reflects a lot of fame, it is an analysis that the seventh-year veteran Swanson, who was selected as this year's All-Star, is somewhat advantageous.

San Diego manager Bob Melvin actively promoted Kim Ha-seong.

[Bob Melvin/San Diego Director: Kim Ha-seong's final selection is particularly touching.

I haven't seen a shortstop who defends better than Ha-Sung Kim this season.

Ha-Sung Kim has performed consistently and is the heart of our team's defense.]

The winner will be announced on the 2nd of next month, just before Game 4 of the World Series.
