Johannes Hösflot Kläbo sustained an injury to a tendon in the back of his thigh and is now struggling with patience.

The Norwegian is currently in Livigno, Italy, training on roller skis.

- It is frustrating, of course.

If you had asked me on July 5th, when this happened, if I would be struggling with this injury for at least 15 weeks, I would have just laughed at you.

But this is reality now, he tells TV2.

Not ready for competition

The 25-year-old, with several Olympic and World Cup gold medals, has made progress but is not ready for competition.

- Although I have followed all the advice, I am not ready.

Diagonal skiing and skating are going well, but classic sprinting is out of date at the moment, he says.

Just classic sprint will be run in both the Norwegian premiere in Beitostölen November 18-20 and the World Cup premiere in Finnish Ruka the weekend after.

- I'm short on time, very short on time.

This is not a muscle injury, but an injury to a tendon, and it apparently takes longer than a broken bone, so it might have been easier to break the bone.
