On the fifth day of the World Judo Championships in Uzbekistan, the men's 90kg class and the women's 70kg class were held.



Of these, the women's 70-kilogram class Niitsue won the quarterfinals by defeating the Austrian silver medalist at the Tokyo Olympics, but in the semifinals she played against a Croatian player and lost due to a foul due to three instructions. We went to the 3rd place match.



In the 3rd place match, they faced a German player, and although they struggled in the early stages against an opponent who actively used techniques, they took advantage of the Wazaari in the middle stage and won the bronze medal.

Niitsue won a medal in his first appearance in the individual competition at the World Championships.



In addition, Shiho Tanaka, who was making her first appearance in the women's 70-kilogram class, also advanced to the semi-finals, but at the end of extra time against a Croatian player, she received a third instruction and lost due to a foul. In the final match, he injured his leg and withdrew in the middle of the match, failing to win a medal.



Also, in the men's 90-kilogram class, Kasuke Masuyama, who was making his first appearance, lost in the second round to the Tokyo Olympic gold medalist from Georgia in a single move.
