The former international player and players agent, Munther Ali, said that the idea of improving the process of bringing clubs to foreign players in the league was behind his transformation from a football player to a players agent after he retired from playing in the ranks of Al Wasl in 2006, noting that he participated at the time in a course held by the Football Association for Players’ Agents. He obtained a player agent's license, pointing out that he was watching how brokers bring "multiplied deals" to clubs, some of whom do not rise to the level of national players, which prompted him to work as a players' agent in order to put an end to this negative phenomenon, stressing that he is not looking into a profession The players' agent is only about money, as much as he looks for how much the club benefits from the player he is recruiting, as well as to raise the level of the league.

Munther told "Emirates Today": "After my retirement from playing, I worked as an administrator for two years in the reserve Al-Wasl team, and one year as an administrator for the first team in the club, and the idea of a players' agent came to me since that time, as I was watching the club's need for foreign players."

Munther Ali indicated that he was proud that he was behind the Sharjah Club's bringing in its former player Igor Cornado, describing it as one of the deals that had a wide resonance due to the great success achieved by the player, considering that the success of the Spanish players Paco Alcacer and Bosnian Miralem Benatic with Sharjah will tempt international stars and players Senior foreigners to play in the UAE.

He continued, "I have benefited in my field of work as an agent for players through my experience as a former player in stadiums."

Monther revealed that Igor had been offered before coming to the Sharjah Club to some clubs in the UAE league, but she did not think to bring him, because the amount of buying his card was large and ranged between five and six million euros, pointing out that Sharjah ended the player’s deal to convince the team coach and management The club then got the player who later proved that he was worth that amount.

Munther Ali added: "Sharjah did not lose anything in return for attracting Igor because he sold him for the same amount that he brought him, and this rarely happens with clubs."

He continued: "One of the deals that I am proud of and that made a wide resonance was the former Uzbek player Aziz Heydarov, as it was my first deal as a players' agent, as well as the deal of the Uzbek player Lovanor for the former Al Shabab club as well, and the Uzbek player Shukurov for Sharjah Club."

Munther Ali described the profession of players’ agent as very tiring, because it contains many things that sometimes conflict with his principles and personality, pointing out that there are clubs that have the foreign agent’s complex, as they are keen to cooperate with him without the citizen agent.

Monther Ali revealed that despite his affiliation with Al-Wasl, he has not yet recruited any player for the Al-Wasl team.
