Four years ago, Ann-Katrin Berger was declared healthy from her thyroid cancer, but in August the goalkeeper told us that the cancer had returned.

The football career was briefly paused, but already in September Berger was back in training for his Chelsea.

- She is an important player for us, so it's great to have her back and in good spirits, says teammate Magdalena Eriksson.

The Swedish back star says that it was a heavy message to receive.

- It was shocking when she told the team.

But she is very cool and was clear that she is fine and that they are not a big deal.

That they caught sight of it early and that they will get hold of it early.

It feels like it was handled well.

She is incredibly strong as a person as well, so she has coped very well.

Berger has played two games from the start since the cancer announcement.

Among other things, she kept a clean sheet in the big game against Manchester City at the end of September.

Johanna Rytting Kanery, who came to Chelsea a few months ago, is impressed with how the goalkeeper handled the situation.

- Of course, it is tough when you receive such a message.

Everyone around is affected.

But she has been incredibly strong and came back, I'm so damn impressed.

What a journey she is making and has made.

I just try to be there and support.

But of course it's never fun to receive such a message, says Rytting Kaneryd.
