According to the press release from the Spanish and Portuguese Federations, this is a project that has received "the unconditional support of UEFA".

Ukraine joins the bid of the two Iberian countries, official since June 2021, to host the FIFA World Cup in 2030. The presidents of the three federations gave a press conference on Wednesday organized at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, in Swiss.

The Spanish-Portuguese text indicates that this approach aims "to project a message of unity, solidarity and generosity on the part of all European football".
