The Swedish ladies have not directly had the margins on their side in the WC.
After losing the opening group stage matches against Romania and Portugal by the smallest possible margin, 3–2, it was already clear that there would be no playoff for the Swedish part before the meeting with the already clear group winner Taiwan.
But that didn't stop Sweden from playing a really good match which they were able to win 3–2 after Linda Bergström won the decisive match against Liu Hsing-Yin in the tiebreaker.
