Less than two years from the Paris Olympics, the situation is still confused within the French Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF).

Its president, Brigitte Henriques, has filed a complaint for "psychological violence" against the former secretary general of the body, with whom she has been in conflict for months, we learned on Monday.

Elected in June 2021 at the head of the French sports house, Brigitte Henriques separated from her secretary general recently, plunging the CNOSF into an internal crisis.

In her complaint, which AFP was able to consult, she believes that she suffered for months of "psychological violence" from her ex-right-hand man, Didier Séminet.

In this complaint, filed on September 19 or 20, the former vice-president of the French Football Federation (FFF) details several meetings and exchanges spread over several months with its secretary general who "shocked" her, once evoking a “threatening” behavior, and ensures that the situation is quite “bad”.

The former secretary general was officially dismissed following a vote at a CNOSF board of directors on September 12, but the reasons given remained rather vague.

This divorce, unprecedented in the history of the CNOSF, led to an internal clan war, less than two years from the Paris Games.

"Dramatic"

“I've been at the CNOSF for 25 years, I've never seen that.

There have always been difficulties between the presidents and their general secretaries, but they have always managed to get along.

There it is dramatic ”, had regretted just before this eviction the French member of the IOC and former Minister of Sports, Guy Drut.

The president of the CNOSF, who has been on sick leave since Monday because of this conflicting situation, is indeed facing a strong wind of protest internally, in an institution unaccustomed to such turmoil.

“She took beatings for a long time, she was silent to protect the institution but there, enough is enough,” said a source within the CNOSF.

A board meeting is to be held on October 12.
