The summer has passed and large parts of the pre-season training are done.
For Sebastian Samuelsson, things have been going well, very well.
- I have broken a personal record in the 3000 meter run, I have broken that twice and then I have also done very good tests inside the winter sports center, so I think I am in a very good phase.
Are you stronger than ever?
- Yes, I think I am stronger than ever, then it is always difficult to know how well it will turn out in the winter, but I have maintained a very high level in recent seasons and I feel stronger now, so that is positive, says Sebastian Samuelsson.
Double gold at the WC
He received another receipt that the training this summer has gone well during the Roller Ski Shooting World Championships in August.
There he won two golds and a silver.
Now the entire world elite was not there, but still nice results for someone who sees himself as "slow" on roller skis.
Samuelsson had a strong season last winter.
With two victories, two second places and two third places individually, he ended up third overall in the World Cup.
A position he wants to improve this winter.
- It is incredibly big to be on the podium in the World Cup and now I see no reason why I could not win the overall World Cup at some point and that is the goal this winter, says Sebastian Samuelsson
