This may indicate that the choice was made impulsively under the influence of some recent event.
Perhaps the injury, due to which Alexandra withdrew from the free program of those same skates.
This is also confirmed by insider information from R-Sport, which reported that Trusov was no longer satisfied with the extremely intense training regimen in the Tutberidze group.
Neither the skater herself nor the coaches commented on this transition, but the reaction from Khrustalny can to some extent be assessed by the performances of choreographer Alexei Zheleznyakov.
The specialist is known for his boldness of judgment, and Alena Kostornaya has already experienced his strong word on herself, who also recently left the Tutberidze group for the second time, although not of her own free will.
Zheleznyakov was not shy in expressions then, and did not betray himself this time either.
