Haninge HK-raised Evelina Eriksson stood yesterday for her eighth international match in Blue Gold when Sweden defeated Brazil.

This summer, she took another step in her career when she changed Vipers Kristiansand for CSM Bucharest, a club represented by Isabella Gulldén and Nathalie Hagman, among several Swedes.

- I felt that I needed a new challenge.

Come to a new country that is completely different from Sweden and Norway.

New players, a different training culture and a completely new environment, she tells SVT Sport.

The President enters the locker room

CSM Bucharest is a big club in the context of handball.

Something that shows in the demands on the players.

- So far we have been lucky that it has gone well and we have had results with us, says Evelina Eriksson.

- But when things go badly, it will be noticed from higher powers.

Then it is easier for the president to come down and make demands.

In terms of pay, you can get different types of post-performance punishment because the expectations are so high.

So I hoped that we continue and win, because then it's gold and green forests.

"Something you accept when you sign"

However, the high pressure is not something that shocked Evelina Eriksson.

- It's something I knew about before I got there and it's something you accept when you sign the contract, she says.

What is it like to have that pressure?

- I'm there to perform and you train to perform are there to play as well as possible.

As long as everyone does it, it should be fine, but of course it's an additional pressure, but it's not something I walk around thinking about.
