Tottenham Hotspur coach Antonio Conte said that reports that suggested he would return to coach his former club Juventus if the current coach of the Italian club Massimiliano Allegri was dispensed were "humiliating", and that he would take decisions regarding his contract with the London club in due course.

Conte won the Italian league title with Juventus 3 times between 2011 and 2014, and joined Tottenham on an 18-month contract in November.

His contract with Tottenham expires at the end of the current season.

Italian media nominated Conte to succeed Allegri at the helm of the technical staff of Juventus, who is currently ranked eighth among the Italian league teams, and who also lost the first two rounds of the Champions League for the first time in its history.

"It's insulting to the coach who works at Juventus, and it is insulting to me as I work at Tottenham," Conte told reporters ahead of his team's Premier League match against London neighbors Arsenal on Saturday.

"There is no right time (to sign a contract). It could happen tomorrow. It could happen in the last days of the Premier League season. At the right time I will make the best decision. Right now I am really happy."

Spurs will top the Premier League table if they beat Arsenal, the current leader, tomorrow.
