Korean modern pentathlon added gold medal in men's relay and silver medal in women's relay at the Under-19 (U-19) Asian Championships.



In the men's relay event held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, Lee Ki-beom and Lee Ju-chan scored a total of 1,93 points, beating the Kazakh team (1,068 points) to win the championship.



At the U-19 Asian Championships, which have been held since the 21st, the rankings are determined by the results of four events, excluding horseback riding, among the five modern disciplines (fencing, swimming, horseback riding, track and field, shooting).



Ki-beom Lee and Joo-chan Lee won the gold medal by winning first place in the fencing ranking round and laser run (athletics + shooting).



In the women's relay, Yu-Jeong Joo and So-Mi Han recorded 898 points, placing second behind the Kazakh team (952 points).



South Korea brought a total of 8 (4 gold, 3 silver, 1 bronze) including 4 gold medals, the most among participating countries, from the Asian Adult Championships held in Almaty until the 20th, followed by 3 gold medals and 2 silver medals at the U-19 event. Dog and 1 bronze medal.



The national team is also aiming for a medal in the mixed relay, the last event of the tournament on the 25th.
