Long-distance star Ida Dahl took home the Klarälvsloppet in impressive fashion.

The 26-year-old won by a large margin over competitors such as Silje Öyre Slind and Hedda Bångman.

The margin down to Öyre Slind was written at 3 minutes and 57 seconds.

But the race also offered drama.

She got rid of her rods.

- First Silje went off the tip of the right stick.

Then I could ride with the pole out in the grass and it actually worked just fine.

When I did get a pole, it was far too long and just then Hedda hit my second pole, says Dahl to lånding.se.

After a tough finish, she crossed the finish line as the winner.

- But the ending was tough.

I was extremely worn out muscularly at the end.

I really had to struggle the last five kilometers.

I'm happy with the way I completed the race, and it's always fun to win, says Dahl.

Before the season, Ida Dahl signed for Team Engcon.

Last season she competed for Team Ramudden.
