In March 2020, SVT Sport revealed that there was an ongoing police investigation with connections to the Swedish Ice Hockey Association.

A man with connections to the union was later charged, for having, during an ice hockey tournament, grabbed the plaintiff (an employee of the union) while she was talking on the phone, and "jerked" at her.

Court of Appeal judgment after almost two years

The district court sentenced the man, against his denial, to 80 daily fines of SEK 1,000 for sexual harassment.

The verdict was appealed, and now – almost two years later – the Court of Appeal has handled the case.

"Pleaded guilty to the charged act

They came to the same conclusion as the district court.

"It is proven that XX has committed the charged act.

The deed must be labeled as the district court has done.

The district court's judgment regarding debt and classification should therefore not be changed," the Court of Appeal writes in the judgment.

SVT Sport has searched for the convicted man without success, but has received a brief comment from his lawyer.

- He still claims that he is innocent, says Kerstin Koorti.

So he's disappointed?

- Yes, he is.
