The Korea Football Association announced today (22nd) that the cheering slogan of the Korean national team participating in the 2022 Qatar World Cup has been confirmed as 'hotter, the Reds'.



The association held a contest jointly with the Red Devil from the 13th to the 24th of last month, and selected this cheering phrase as the slogan out of about 42,000 entries received through social media.



Lee Jung-seop, head of the association's business division, explained this phrase, "It will be cold in Korea because it is the first World Cup to be held in winter, but it contains the meaning of creating a cheering fever that is hotter than any other competitions held in June."



He also evaluated, "It expresses the expectation that the Taegeuk warriors in red uniforms will show the fighting spirit that burns hotter than the deserts of the Middle East on the ground."



The adopted slogan is attached to the national team's local training camp, media center, etc.



In addition, it will be used for domestic street cheering, cheering songs for Red Devil supporters, and various support items during the tournament.



The number of entries for this contest has increased 12 times compared to the 2018 World Cup in Russia, realizing the popularity of the national team.



The World Cup cheering slogan is Be the Reds (2002), Reds go together (2006), Victory Shout, United Korea (2010), Enjoy Korea (2014), We, the Reds (2018) were adopted. There is a bar.
