New element on the “doubts” as to the state of the plane in which Emiliano Sala perished.

The BBC publishes this Wednesday the recording of a conversation between the pilot of the plane, David Ibbotson, and a friend.

In this recording, he confides in the state of the device which he considers "doubtful", following the first flight which took Emiliano Sala from Cardiff to Nantes to greet his ex-teammates.

A “bang” during the first flight

When landing in Nantes, David Ibbotson for example realized that the left brake pedal was not working.

"This plane must be put in the back of the hangar," he told his friend.

He also explains having heard a “bang” during this first flight and assures his friend: “Usually the lifejacket is between the seats, but tomorrow I will wear it.

“Emiliano Sala had also expressed his concerns to a relative during this same trip:” Man, I'm scared.

It looks like the plane is falling apart”.

David Ibbotson, whose body was never found, was not licensed to carry fare-paying passengers.
