The Catalan club is interested in signing Subimendi, according to Mundo Deportivo.
23-year-old Subimendi is a graduate of Real Sociedad.
He made 155 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing four assists.
According to El Nacional, Busquets has already notified President Joan Laporta that he will not renew his contract.
It is noted that he wants to continue his career in MLS.
Recall that Busquets has been playing for Barcelona since 2008.
His contract expires at the end of the 2022/23 season.
