Former number one, the Japanese Keita Nakajima, has turned professional and now it is Swedish in first place.
It is altogether unusual to have Swedish world number one players in golf.
The only previous examples, according to the Swedish national golf team, are Annika Sörenstam, who topped the women's world ranking, Frida Kinhult, who was the world's best amateur for a while, and Johan Kammerstad, who was world number one in paragolf.
Even in the women's amateur ranking, Sweden is currently high up in the form of Ingrid Lindblad, who is second.
