Slovenian sprint star Anamarija Lampic has chosen to change sports.

Now the 27-year-old is betting on a career as a biathlete.

According to her coach, it already looks promising.

- Anamarija works very concentrated and is already achieving good results on the shooting range.

We are optimistic, but at the same time will build her up gradually, says German Ricco Gross, who is also the Slovenian national team captain, to siol.net.

First, Lampic will debut in the IBU Cup (she will do her first competition in November) and shortly after, the World Cup debut can come, according to Gross.

He says Lampic's first World Cup appearance could come at the relay in Kontiolahti (November).

- In a relay, it is easier to adapt to the level of competition.
